Bukovniško Lake is located in the middle of beautiful woods and unspoiled natural surroundings. There are 26 marked energy points, together with drinking water from the St. Vida spring you can reach positive mental and physical energy results. An old saying goes that some blind people got back their sight through drinking and washing their eyes with water from the spring.

Prekmurje is a cyclists paradise with terrain ranging from easy flatlands to demanding hills and includes the Goričko Landscape Park and the Mura River.

The Livada Golf Course has 18 holes on more than 50 hectares. A special feature and challenge is field no. 9, the longest Slovenian hole - a par of almost 600m in length.

With 365 rooms Grad Castle is the biggest castle in Slovenia. Many legends can be traced back to this castle, the most famous one is the legend of the flying dragon with the golden crown. The Murska Sobota Castle was built in the 16th century and houses the Regional Museum of Murska Sobota which tells the story of the life of the region on the Mura River from prehistoric times up to the present moment.

The Church of the Ascension is perhaps Prekmurje's best known church. Situated in the village of Bogojina the church was redesigned by Slovenia's greatest architect, Jože Plečnik between 1925 and 1927. The village of Selo is the location of the Chapel of St. Nicholas, a superb Romanesque rotunda built in the mid-thirteenth century. Its interior is adorned with exceptional wall paintings.
